BATS Improv is partnering with The 100 Black Improvisers Partnership!
BATS Improv is thrilled to partner with Black Improv Alliance for their 100 Black Improvisers Partnership initiative! The 100 Black Improvisers Partnership is a joint venture among corporate sponsors, improv teachers, and improv schools/theaters around the country which are actively seeking diversity. By pledging to provide a minimum of five scholarships for Black students, each of us contributes to a common goal of getting 100 more Black people into Improv 101 by July 2021.
To help achieve this goal, BATS Improv is offering 5 full class scholarships to Black students for our virtual Foundation 1 class beginning Wednesday, October 21 with John Remak.
If you’re interested in joining this class or learning more about the Partnership, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and BlackImprovAlliance@gmail.com. We will prioritize students who are local or connected to the Bay Area, but our classes can be accessed from across the country. Please spread the word!
This partnership is made possible by the BATS Improv Communities of Color Scholarship. The scholarship, generously funded by an anonymous donor, was established in 2019 to make the BATS community more accessible for traditionally underrepresented communities of color.
Scholarships are now available for all our online classes on a rolling basis. We encourage past scholarship recipients to reapply.
