Fall is Making a Comeback!
Hi! I’m Jo McGinley, the new Head of the BATS School of Improv. I’m so excited to be back at BATS, where I first started my improv training back in the 90s. Now, as a company member of Impro Theater in LA, I’m so happy to be supporting BATS during this transition period of online classes.Hi! I’m Jo McGinley, the new Head of the BATS School of Improv. I’m so excited to be back at BATS, where I first started my improv training back in the 90s. Now, as a company member of Impro Theater in LA, I’m so happy to be supporting BATS during this transition period of online classes.
I’ve set up a full schedule for the fall, and some classes are already available on the website now. More will be posted in the next week, and I’m excited for you to see them! We have all the Foundation classes back, including levels One through Three, as well as Scene Work. You’ll also be seeing lots of specialty classes from coaches you may not know in addition to the familiar faces. And, last but not least... (drumroll please…)
We’re bringing back the Cave Match on Sundays, starting mid September!!! (cue fireworks and party poppers!)
We’re thrilled to have this community space back at BATS, and to bring our innovative improv training online for you.
For those of you who haven’t tried an online class yet, I want to encourage you to come back to BATS. Everything that we’re learning, both as students and as coaches ourselves, is making us stronger. Being online has brought many skills into focus, and when we’re back to playing in person and onstage, you’ll be more prepared than ever. And, during these strange times, the connection that our community brings is so needed. We’re here for you when you’re ready to return to improv, and so am I! Please feel free to reach out to me at jo@improv.org. I look forward to meeting each one of you somehow, virtually or via email. Thanks so much, and welcome back to the BATS community!
