This week's newsletter is all about that engine of connection, community and creativity, the BATS School of Improv!  We have big changes coming up and we're here to give you an insight into what to expect. We're not changing the great content - spontaneity, ensemble, teamwork, listening, narrative and character - but we have we have enhanced and clarified the training process so you know JUST what you're learning, WHEN you're learning it and WHAT it all leads to. This is really exciting, and we think you'll like it too.

Jo McGingley, our amazing Head of School, has worked tirelessly with our coaches and community to hone in on what the BATS style of improv is, how to articulate it, and how to clarify the process of learning it for students. Now, there's a gorgeous new roadmap through the training that covers the ingredients of a strong improvisor - basics, character, relationship, environment, acting, storytelling and performance - and then takes you through sustained scene study or performance lab to hone ongoing performance skill with an ensemble. The trajectory is personalized with strong coach feedback along the way, so you know just what your strengths and areas for improvement are.

There's more! If you want ALL the details on BATS' new curriculum, check out the full length interview below:

And if you've been meaning to sign up for a course but just haven't gotten around to it yet, take a look at our next one-off intro classes to see what it's all about.

We look forward to seeing you in the new year!
